Charlotte recently underwent breast reduction surgery with consultant breast surgeon Adam Critchley. Why did you decide to undergo breast surgery?
I had considered undergoing breast reduction surgery for a number of years.
The shape, size and appearance of my breasts was a deciding factor.
I had issues with bra straps digging into my shoulders, and had to buy larger tops due to the sheer size of my breasts. I also felt conscious when undressed and wearing swimwear.
Why did you choose Adam Critchley as your breast surgeon?
Having researched breast surgeons Mr Critchley was an expert in his field.
From the very first appointment he was very personable, respectful and kind.
He was on hand to answer any questions which put me at ease.
How was your initial consultation with Adam Critchley?
Excellent. He listened carefully, talked me through my options. I did not feel in anyway pressured or uncomfortable.
What was your experience like on the day of surgery with Adam Critchley and his team?
I was very nervous, but felt in good hands.
I was fully supported throughout.
How was the recovery after your surgery?
Amazing. Due to the innovative procedure, I had virtually no pain at all.
6 paracetamol later, I was back at work the following week with no complications.
There was always someone on hand in case I had any questions or issues – which, thankfully, I didn’t.
What advice would you give to someone else considering breast surgery?
Absolutely do it.
I feel so much better and it’s one of the best decisions I have made.
